Saudi Arabia is building software faster than it can staff it. Vision 2030 programmes, a licensed fintech sector, giga-projects and the digitisation of retail, logistics and healthcare have all created demand at once, and the ICT sector is projected to keep growing through the decade. Meanwhile experienced engineers are scarce and expensive, and every employer in Riyadh is bidding for the same people. We help Saudi companies add pre-vetted Indian developers with roughly six hours of daily overlap, billing in riyals or dollars, and — the part most vendors skip — a working week that matches yours. If you operate across the Gulf, see our UAE and Israel pages, our India outsourcing guide, the agency vetting checklist, and our guide to choosing the right contract model.
What you get when you hire from us
This is the real friction between Saudi and Indian teams, and most offshore vendors do not mention it until month two.
We rotate assigned developers onto a Sunday-Thursday schedule with a compensating weekday off, so your Sunday is covered and nobody works six days. It costs nothing extra — it simply has to be agreed at onboarding rather than discovered in week three. We also plan around Ramadan hours and Saudi public holidays rather than treating them as surprises.
Saudi Arabia is UTC+3 with no daylight saving. India is 2.5 hours ahead — the overlap you plan in January is identical in July.

India is 2.5 hours ahead. Our day covers almost the whole Saudi working day.
Saudi: 9:00 - 16:00 Saudi
India: 11:30 - 18:30 IST
Around six hours of shared working time, unchanged in every month of the year.
Saudi: 10:00 - 13:00 Saudi
India: 12:30 - 15:30 IST
Comfortable mid-day slot for both sides. No early calls, no late calls.

Your last two hours fall at the end of the Indian day. We schedule handover notes for it.
Indicative all-in comparison in riyals. Local figures include housing and transport allowances, GOSI and end-of-service benefits.

Ask on WhatsAppSaudi Arabia runs on AST (UTC+3) all year with no daylight saving, and India is only 2.5 hours ahead. A Riyadh team working 9:00-18:00 overlaps with our 9:30-18:30 IST day for roughly six hours every working day, and that window never shifts. It is one of the closest overlaps of any market we serve — your morning stand-up, mid-day reviews and most of the afternoon all happen with the team live.
Directly, because it is the main friction. Saudi Arabia works Sunday to Thursday; India works Monday to Friday or Saturday. Left alone that gives four shared working days — your Sunday has no cover and our Friday is your weekend. We rotate assigned developers onto a Sunday-Thursday schedule to match yours, with a compensating day off midweek. Ask at onboarding and it is arranged before the first sprint. A vendor that has not raised this has not thought about how your week actually runs.
They are separate things, and you should treat them that way. Saudization (Nitaqat) targets apply to your own employed headcount in the Kingdom. Our developers are our employees in India, engaged as a service, so they are not your employees for workforce-localisation purposes — but how any arrangement is counted depends on your sector, your entity and current rules. Confirm your position with your HR or legal advisers rather than taking a vendor’s word for it. What we can say plainly is that offshore capacity is a supplement to your local team, not a substitute for your localisation obligations.
We invoice in SAR or USD, whichever your finance team prefers. The riyal is pegged to the US dollar, so there is effectively no FX drift between the two. We accept SWIFT transfer, Wise, Stripe and PayPal. Cross-border payments to a foreign supplier are routine for your bank; the first one may need standard documentation about the service being purchased.
Saudi VAT currently runs at 15% and services bought from a non-resident supplier are generally handled by the recipient under the reverse-charge mechanism, so a fully taxable business usually self-accounts and recovers in the same return. Separately, payments to non-residents for technical services can attract withholding tax, and the India-Saudi double taxation treaty may reduce the rate where a tax residency certificate is provided — we supply ours on request. This is the one area where you genuinely need your own tax adviser rather than a vendor’s summary.
Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law is enforced by SDAIA, with a dedicated regulation covering transfers of personal data outside the Kingdom and risk-assessment guidance for them. Because no formal adequacy list has been published, most transfers rely on appropriate safeguards plus a documented risk assessment rather than an adequacy finding. We sign a data processing agreement covering purpose limitation, retention, security measures, sub-processor disclosure and breach notification, and we can scope work to environments that contain no personal data at all. Data-residency expectations are tightening, so confirm your specific position with counsel.
Yes. English is the working language of Saudi technology and enterprise IT, and all our technical communication, code, documentation and Git commits are in English. Our developers handle stand-ups, design reviews and written updates in clear business English, and many have worked with Gulf clients for years. Hindi and Urdu are also widely spoken on our team, which often helps with mixed on-site teams. We do not provide Arabic-speaking developers, so Arabic-facing customer roles should stay local.
Salary guides put mid-level developers in the Kingdom at roughly SAR 12,000-20,000 a month and senior developers at SAR 22,000-35,000, with Riyadh at the top of those bands. Allowing for housing and transport allowances, end-of-service benefits and GOSI, a senior developer lands near SAR 350,000-520,000 a year all-in. Our developers start at SAR 55 per hour, roughly SAR 110,000-180,000 a year full-time — typically 55-70% lower. Figures are indicative market ranges for budgeting, not quotes.
Fintech and payments (a fast-growing licensed sector), banking back-office and customer portals, retail and eCommerce, logistics and last-mile delivery, healthcare and clinic systems, education and training platforms, real estate and property management, facilities and field-service software, and multi-tenant B2B SaaS. We build application and product software; we do not take defence or classified work.
Yes. We sign Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs and data processing agreements under Saudi law, with full IP assignment to the client. We are familiar with standard B2B terms on liability, jurisdiction and intellectual property, and with the documentation Saudi finance teams typically need from a foreign supplier. We are equally willing to sign on your own MSA template rather than insisting on ours.
